Chinese Man Found Standing In Busy Road

A Chinese man was spotted by a police officer standing in the middle of a busy road. He rush over to rescue the man before he got knocked over and killed.

PATTAYA – March 9,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 12.10 a.m., while Police Lance Corporal Thoranikarn Wajjana (Suppression Squad Leader of Nong Prue police station, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province, was performing his duty to safeguard a parade of V.I.P.s’ cars in the area near Phu Yai Hin grade separation, motorway road, route 7, part 5, entrance route to Pattaya, Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province, he then saw a foreign man was standing in the middle of the road therefore he rushed to assist him before he got knocked over.

 

Upon questioning the Chinese man he said nothing and kept quiet. From inspecting in his backpack then the police found a passport which identified the man as Mr. Wang Woei, aged 25, Chinese nationality. His passport also showed that he had come to Thailand on March 1st 2015. The officers also found 2,300 Yuan and 1,200 THB but all of the notes were torn.

Lance Corporal Thoranikarn then took him to Nong Prue police station where a Chinese interpreter tried to speak to him for over 2 hours but he just shook his head and only said that he did not want live anymore.

 

Pol.Col. Pramote Ngarmpradit (Superintendent of Nong Prue police station) said that initially he thought that Mr. Wang Woei may have some personal problems and if they let him go he may commit suicide. Therefore he had coordinated with Pol.Maj. Piyaphong Ensarn (Inspector of Pattaya Tourist Police) to take Mr. Wang Woei to a safe place and then they reported the incident to the Chinese Embassy to come and collect him so they can repatriate him back to China.
