Chinese Man Drowns At Ko Lan

A 71 year old Chinese man has drowned whilst swimming in the sea off Ko Lan island. Life guards tried to bring him back to life but it was too late.

PATTAYA – April 17,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 11.30 am Pol.Lt.Col.Podsawat Siripornnoppakhun-inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that a foreigner had drowned at Tawaen beach on Ko Lan island. After notification the police officers were accompanied with Sawang Borriboon rescue team who rushed to the scene.


At the scene the officers found the body of Mr.Wu Long you aged 71 from China on the beach. Upon questioning a guide he revealed that another guide had brought the Chinese tour group to Ko Lan island and they went swimming in the sea off Tawaen beach. Later Mr.Wu had disappeared whilst swimming so the life guards searched for him and found him floating in the water. They then tried to bring him back to life but it was too late.


The body was then sent to the forensics centre at the Police hospital in order to find out the real cause of death. Also the officers had notified the Chinese embassy.
