Chicken Bone Puts A Cambodian Man Into a Coma In Pattaya

A Cambodian man ate a fried chicken and managed to get a bone stuck in his throat which caused him to fall into a coma.

PATTAYA – December 30,2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 11.00 am Pol.Lt.Col.Panjanon Wijittho-inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that a Cambodian man ate a fried chicken and managed to get a chicken bone stuck in his throat, due to suffication he fell unconscious in front of Suan Lalana village. After notification the police officers and Sawang Borriboon rescue team immediately rushed to inspect.


At the scene the officials found Mr.Odd approximated aged about 25-30 who was a Cambodian labourer unconscious on the ground. The officers found the chicken bone in his throat and a bamboo stick near his foot. The rescue team checked his heart rate and they found out that he was in coma, therefore the officers took the bone out of his mouth before performing CPR on him and sending him to Bang Lamung hospital.

Upon questioning the motorcycle taxi rider who witnessed the incident he told the officers that the Cambodian man was drunk and that he ate the fried chicken at the motorcycle station. Later he told the rider that he would like to go to Jomtien beach then as they travelled to Jomtien the Cambodian man fell off the motorcycle due to the bone lodged in his throat. The rider immediately notified the police.
