Chanawal Village: Natural Tranquillity at its Best

Chanawal Village is a small-sized housing project in a superb location, well away from the confusion of the city and the madding crowd. It nestles, hidden in the middle of lush, green nature where cool breezes supplant the artificiality of the air-conditioning unit. It is a totally picturesque scene, with the tranquillity of the forest line and the sunlight dappling the countryside surpass any landscape painting.

The project is the ideal answer to the stresses of city life, which slowly leave you as you head out through the suburbs, on the way to Sattahip. Along the way, the gentle hills and natural forest induce sensations of calm relaxation to banish the everyday cares of modern life.

As you turn off Sukhumvit Road, 10 kms. from Pattaya City, into Soi Na-Jomtien 46, the profusion of trees and lush greenery bring you into a different world, a community nestling hidden in the midst of natural surroundings, where you can live a dream lifestyle.

Khun Kanoksab Kid-hathong or Khun “Pepsi”, who used to be a top manager of a well known life insurance company in Thailand, has now turned her hand to real estate. She told us about herself “I am from Nong-Gate-Yai district and my parents are from Pattaya. I love nature,” she confessed ” and I bought a piece of land around here, where I could indulge my passion for building houses.”She gave us a rundown of the history of Chanawal Village. It has been established for ten years on land that was originally empty. The houses were built gradually, one by one, until the project was almost complete. All the houses are surrounded by trees, in a natural, tranquil environment. She told us she has built the houses, according to their occupants’ needs. Although most houses have been built for potential purchasers, at present, there are also 4 houses for rent with another 4 houses due to be finished in the very near future.

All houses are built in the Thai styles, with full options on all facilities. Each house has been designed to take advantage of the surrounding nature. The fronts of the houses face east to catch the warm, morning sun. There is a swimming pool at the front, overlooking the forest line, with coconut groves against the skyline to give it a truly picturesque ambiance. All the houses have two storeys. Downstairs is a large living area with surrounding mirrors so you can see the natural environment around the house at all times. There is a kitchen corner at the rear. There is also a large, wooden living room set in the middle. The garage is also under cover of the house.

Going up to the second floor by the side staircase, the occupants can experience all the beautiful, relaxing surroundings. Each house has two bedrooms and a kitchen, which was designed to provide good ventilation from the louvered panel near the kitchen and two large windows on both sides of the bedrooms.

Besides the houses which are for rent, Khun Pepsi added, they also need an investor who can manage a Mini Mart for the complex. This has a small garden behind it for serving fresh coffee in the afternoon to their customers and would also make extra income for the investor.
