The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.

Only about 10 percent of accommodations listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.

To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, a hotel must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

“We are delighted to receive the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence,” said general manager Andre Brulhart. “We strive to offer our guests a memorable experience, and this accolade is evidence that the work and service of our team here is translating into positive traveller reviews.”

Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, located on Wong Amat Beach in North Pattaya, is a 5-star property and with its Lost World-inspired design is the first truly themed hotel in Thailand. The 18-storey hotel features 555 rooms and suites, all facing the ocean, and is centred upon a lush water park that includes pools, waterfalls and a lazy river. The hotel is one of the few in Pattaya that has direct access to its own beach.
