Caught Stealing from Employer

Pattaya, 20th February 2011[Pattaya Daily News] At approximately 04.00 pm, Capt Suradet Namyotha, Pattaya Police Investigator, was informed by a witness that a female thief had been arrested in front of the Marine Hotel, South Pattaya, Moo9, Nongprue, Banglamung. Subsequently, police officers went to investigate at the scene.

On arrival, police found, Miss Rungnapha Trongdee (38) from Nongprue, Banglamung being held in citizen’s arrest with the evidence of 10,600 Baht in cash. In addition, Miss Rungnaphaphorn Janthrathong (30), a cashier of The Queen Massage, 135/11, Soi VC Hotel, South Pattaya was pointing accusingly at the offender. She stated that Mrs. Thongdee came to work her first day as a masseuse at the massage parlour. Before the incident occurred, while Miss Janthrathong was not watching, the offender managed to open the drawer of the cash desk and stole 10,600 baht before running out to escape. Miss Janthrathong immediately gave chase, shouting for people to help in catching the thief. Subsequently, Mrs. Thongdee was arrested by the cashier 100 meters from the massage shop.

The police stated that at the time of briefing, the offender was still resisting  interrogation. It was presumed that she might have committed similar crimes before. So, anyone who has such a complaint and who suspects Mrs. Thongdee’s involvement should contact the Pattaya Police Station.
