Cars Stolen By Gang

Pattaya police have arrested a gang who stole cars from their victims after befriending them via Bee Talk.

PATTAYA – August 4,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 11.00 am Pol.Col.Chanapat Nawaluk- superintendent of Bang Lamung police station- made a statement about the arrest of Ms Wanlapa Puangmanee aged 30, Mr Srunpat Narongpadit aged 27 and Mr Prasertsak Tubtim aged 29. They were arrested with 2 car keys, 3 room keys, an iPhone 5, and a wallet containing 50,000 baht.


On August 1st the police were notified by a man that he had his car robbed in South Pattaya; therefore, the police officers rushed to the scene to arrest the thieves. After arresting them they confessed to robbing the car after they had befriended the victim via the BeeTalk application. They then arranged to meet the victim at a bungalow and stole his car while he was sleeping. Later Ms Wanlapa took the car to Mr Srunpat and he sold it to Mr Prasertsak at a gas station for 80,000 baht. Ms Wanlapa earned 50,000 baht and Mr Srunpat earned 30,000 baht from the sale.


In addition, the suspects confessed that they had stolen cars and sold them like this over 10 times before in the past. Anyone who has lost a car like this should contact Bang Lamung police station.
