Local officers and rescue personnel from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation rushed to the scene to investigate and render assistance.

Arriving at the incident, officers discovered the unconscious body of Canadian national, Mr. Nicholas Patrick Roenisch [25] lying on the pavement below the shop house balconies. Mr. Roenisch had suffered a fractured skull in the fall and was bleeding profusely. Medical examination revealed that he was still alive, as such rescue personnel transported him immediately to the Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital.
