Canadian Dollars Found On Chair

A village headman who was having a meal at the Ambassador Hotel in Na Jomtein found around 240,000 baht in Canadian dollar bills which had been left on a chair.

SATTAHIP – November 26TH 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 1.00 p.m., at Na Jomtien police station, Amphur Sattahip, Chon Buri province, Pol.Col. Chutidet Jansong Pol.Col. Mongkhon Boonchot (Expert Inquiry Official) and the hotel clerk of Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel together with Mr. Chatchai or Charn Janmongkon, aged 40, who is a village headman who found around 240,000 baht in dollar notes which had been handed into the police. The owner was identified as a Mr. Switucka Travis from Canada. He was pleased that his money had been handed in he gave the village leader $500.


Pol.Col. Chutidet Jansong said that due to Mr. Chatchai Janmongkhon (A village headman of Wang Thong Subdistrict, Sa Kaeo Province) was having a meal at the Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel and found the bank notes which had been left on a chair. He then took the money to the police where the owner had already notified the police that he had lost his money.
