Cambodian Workers Attacked With Swords

Pattaya police were notified that a group of Cambodian workers had been attacked by another group of Cambodians who used swords, iron bars and knuckle dusters.

PATTAYA – March 13th  2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2.00 a.m., Pol.Capt. Witsanu Chaisuwan (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station, Chon Buri province) was notified that there were groups of Cambodian workers who had  assaulted each other  in front of Soi 3 minimart, no. 144/173 on the side of Jomtian beach road, Moo 12 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, so he rushed to inspect the scene.

 

At the scene the officers found 3 injured Cambodian males  identified as 1. Mr. James, aged 22, he was unconscious on the road and had been  hacked with a swords and an iron bar  2. Mr. Phan, aged 25, and 3. Mr. Tom, aged 22, and both of them had been beaten around the head and were  slightly injured.  The rescuers performed  first aid on them before  sending them to Banglamung hospital.

 

Upon investigating Mr. Phan and Mr. Tom  who work on the beach and take care of the umbrellas and chairs they told the police that before incident occurred he and his friends were sitting talking  in front of the minimart when a group of  Cambodians turned up in a silver-bronze Isuzu pick-up truck and  6-7 male teenagers ran over to them and to assaulted them with  iron bars, swords and knuckle-dusters.
