Cambodian Woman Attacked By 2 Men

A Cambodian woman who was walking home in the early hours of the morning was attacked and robbed by 2 Thai men. They assaulted her before fleeing the scene on a big motor bike with her hand bag.

PATTAYA – April 16,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 3.00 a.m., Pol.Lt.Col. Khomchana Ananta (Inspector of Banglamung police station, Chon Buri province) and a police team went to inspect an incident where a young foreign woman had been robbed. The incident occurred near Sophon Safety Co., Ltd. in Soi 75, Sukhumvit Pattaya, Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province. The female victim was identified as Miss Nga, aged 18 from Cambodian. She worked in a well-known massage parlour in Pattaya. She had sustained a wound to her forehead.


Upon questioning the victim she told police that after she finished work she and her co-worker went to a convenience store at the beginning of Soi 73 Sukhumvit Pattaya to buy 1 bottle of beer for her father. She then left her friend and started to walk home alone when suddenly there were 2 Thai male teenagers who were riding a big bike that followed her, then the passenger jumped off assaulted her before fleeing with her handbag which contained 4,000 THB and a Samsung mobile phone.


The police then radioed other officers to head in the direction that the attackers fled but there was no trace of them. Initially, the police recorded the incident and assumed that the 2 attackers might be local teenagers from the Amphur Banglamung area. However a police team will investigate the incident further so the attackers can be arrested and prosecuted according to Thai law.
