Bus Carrying Chinese Tourists Skids Off Road

A bus carrying Chinese tourists in very wet conditions lost control and skidded off the road and ended up in a ditch, luckily nobody was severely injured or killed.

PATTAYA – May 10,2015 [PattayaDailyNEws]; at 14.00 pm Pol.Lt.Nawapon Benchamat-inspector of Huay Yai police station- was notified that a tour bus was involved in an accident on Route 36 and there were many injured. After notification the police officers and Sawang Borriboon rescue team immediately rushed to the scene.

At the scene the officers found a bus that belonged to the TWB tour company which had rolled over on the side of the road. There were 18 injured consisting of 8 Chinese men, 9 Chinese women and the Thai driver. The officers performed first aid on them before sending them to Bangkok-Pattaya hospital.

 

Upon questioning Mr.Kajornsak Puangprakon aged 43 who was the bus driver he said that he was heading to Nongnuch garden and during heavy rain he lost control of the bus causing it to leave the road and roll over. Most of the passengers had to escape through the windows of the bus.

Initially, the officers took photos and collected the evidence and the police expected that the cause of the incident was driving too fast in wet conditions.
