PATTAYA – September 12, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 8:10 p.m., a report of a woman being beaten at a love motel was received by Pol. Lt. Col. Prasit Munsri, investigation officer, Pattaya police station, Chonburi province.

He rushed to the scene with a police team and the rescue officer of the Sawangboribulthammasathan Pattaya foundation.

The beating incident occurred in the Full Love Inn hotel, room number 402, Soi Bongkot Moo 9 Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung. The hotel is a daily motel that offers hourly rates.

At the scene, police found the naked and severely beaten Thai woman lying face down on the floor of the bathroom. Her hands and feet had been tied with a belt and white towel.

She was about 20 to 25 years old, and her face was badly bruised. Her mouth had been taped shut with adhesive tape, and she was breathing very softly. The rescue officer untied her body and rushed her to Banglamung hospital.

Police inspected the room and found a green handbag lying open. Nearby on the chair was the bra and underwear of the victim, and a sanitary napkin with menstrual bloodstains.

On the top of the bed was a mobile phone being charged, and also some used adhesive tape, which the police kept for evidence to check for fingerprints.

Police then inspected the hotel’s CCTV footage, which showed the male suspect and the female victim riding on a motorbike into the hotel entrance at 4:35 p.m.

They were both wearing helmets and riding on a black-red Yamaha Feno motorbike, red license number 19-347 Pattaya. The CCTV showed them turning into the hotel parking lot and parking in front of room 402.

The man then let the woman rent the room for 3 hours at a price of 250 THB. The staff then gave them the room key. Later the man rode away on the motorbike at around 7 p.m., but the motel staff did not see him.

A motel employee, Mr. Suvit Thiptamyae, age 40, later discovered the beating victim. He told police that shortly after arriving at work, the manager informed him that the couple who had rented room 402 had overstayed their rental for a long while.

When Mr. Suvit went to the room, he found that the motorbike was gone and the room was locked from the inside. So he brought the spare key to open the room, and found the beaten woman in the restroom with her hands and feet tied up.

After incident, Pol. Lt. Col. Kierttisak Sathongoy, Deputy Superintendent, commanded the detective police team to use the picture from motel’s CCTV to sketch a picture of the suspect. He also put out an alert on the police radio to look for the motorbike that the suspect used to escape.

As for the motive behind the vicious beating, the police speculated that the man and the woman had made an appointment to have sex together. But the woman was having her menstruation, which may have angered the man, and caused an argument with the man beating her and tying her up before escaping.
