Briton Shot in the Face After Disagreement with Friend

A British man was shot in the face by another foreign man after a disagreement. He was sent to hospital for treatment where he was questioned by police but refused to give up any details.

PATTAYA – May 4, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 18.30, Pol.Lt.Col. Itsaranuwat Jongapichaikul – the inquiry officer of Pattaya Police station, Chon Buri – was informed that a foreigner had been shot and wounded in front of Hotel the sea breeze residence Jomtien, moo 12, Nong Prue, Banglamung, Chon Bur. The police investigation team rushed to the scene with the Sawangboribul Foundation of Pattaya.

At the scene the officers found an injured man identified as Mr.Amdrem Alexandar aged 41, from Britain who had been shot by a .38 shot bullet through his right cheekbone. He was still conscious so the rescuers performed first aid on him before sending him to Banglamung Hospital.

From questioning an eyewitnesses they said that Mr Amdrem was stood talking on the phone with a serious demeanour then another foreigner rode up on a motorcycle to talk with Mr.Amdrem and they seemed to be negotiating something but couldn’t agree so the man on the motorcycle drew a gun and shot Mr Amdrem before fleeing the scene.

Pol.Lt.Col. Itsaranuwat Jongapichaikul – revealed that after the occurrence occurred he went to question Mr Amdrem at the emergency room, but he wouldn’t cooperate and refused to give any details. However, they will question Mr Amdrem again in order to arrest the shooter so he can be prosecuted further according to Thai law.
