British Man Paints Temple Wall As A Christmas Gift In Pattaya

A British man has painted the wall of the temple after he noticed it was dirty. He told reporters that it was a gift from him for Christmas.

PATTAYA – December 18, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 13.00 pm reporters went to inspect the road in Nongmaikaen district after a picture of a foreigner who had painted the Suttawas temple wall had been spread on the Internet. He had a lot of admiration from net surfers.

 

At the temple the reporters found a Mr Smith Terry a 77 year old British man was painting the wall. Upon questioning Mr Smith he revealed that he believed in Buddha and he had been in Thailand for the 4 months. He used the road everyday and noticed that the temple wall was dirty so he decided to re-paint it and bought some white paint to paint it.

He added that he painted the wall as a Christmas gift from him to the temple and also said that people should help re-paint other temples in the area.
