British Man Leaves Belongings In Pattaya Taxi

A taxi driver who dropped a British man off in Pattaya found that he had left one of his bags behind which contained lots of money and his passport.

PATTAYA – November 1, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 21.00 pm Pol.Lt.Yom Promsart-inspector of Pattaya police station- revealed that Mr.Khumsilp Methongsaen a 49 year old Taxi driver brought £1,070 ,a digital camera and a passport which belonged to Mr.David Phillips aged 40 from England after he left them behind in a taxi.

 

Mr.Khumsilp said that Mr.David and his friends had taken the taxi from Suvannabhumi airport to Pattaya for 1,000 baht and acted like they had been drinking. The taxi driver then dropped them off at a bar on Pattaya 2nd road. Later the driver found 2 bags which contained a lot of items while he was filling up at a gas station. He then decided to notify the police to find the bag owner.

 

Mr.David said that he had taken the taxi cab from Suvannabhumi airport to Pattaya and he couldn’t remember where he had lost his bags and couldn’t remember the taxi number. Plus he said that he was drunk and only realised he had lost his bags while he was sat in the bar drinking. He really appreciated the kindness of the taxi driver and gave him some money as a reward.
