Bridge Demolished Canal Widened For Rainy Season

Pattaya officers have dismantle a bridge in South Pattaya and widened a canal in order to cope with the large amounts of flood water expected this up and coming rainy season.

PATTAYA – Recently [PattayaDailyNews]; The Office of disaster prevention had reported that the weather from the 21st -24th April 2015 will be high pressure coming from China and will pass through Thailand and may cause some summer storms throughout Chonburi.


On the 21st April, Dr.Weerawat Khakai-deputy mayor of Pattaya- was accompanied with officers who took heavy machines to demolish Tony’s bridge and to widen the canal in South Pattaya to allow the rain water to flow unobstructed into the sea.

Dr.Weerawat revealed that the officers intended to finish the demolition today (April 21st) and they had widened it as much as they can to improve water flow. However, the task had only been 90% completed because of the Bali Hai Plaza building, but they expected to finish it before the rainy season starts.
