Pattaya City ? Friday, 17 July 2009 ? A&W Restaurant (Thailand) Co., Ltd., today is launching its exciting new campaign ?Brand New Look, Same Great Taste,? with renewed vigour to suit every palate and pocket capturing a market share in the Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) business. It also kicks off its latest 2 new-concept outlets at prime locations: Pattaya and Chonburi by Datuk Mohd Nazar Samad, Group Managing Director, KUB Malaysia Berhad?s Food Related Division and it?s A&W Restaurants (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Datuk Mohd Nazar Samad, A&W Board of Director said, ?A great deal of thought and effort goes into creating a new menu and A&W sets a very high standard that we strive to maintain and improve upon wherever possible. We?ve transformed the outlet in Pattaya from a typical fast food restaurant to a contemporary environment, while one in Chonburi is completely conceptualized to create family oriented, fun yet hip environment. Quality of the food remains consistently high as ever, as A&W and its entire team has yet again hit on a balance of taste, presentation and value for money, with no compromises.?

A&W Restaurant offers a wide variety of menu choices that meet the individual needs and preferences of its customers. ?We discovered what our customers have been craving for years, and decided to introduce new menu Beary Meal. It?s fashionable, yet healthy. Or perhaps it?s fashionable because it?s healthy. Either way, we think that A&W Thai fans are going to love it.?

As part of its rapid growth initiative, A&W is debuting its new-concept restaurant, located in hip, vibrant city Pattaya City and Chonburi, with a grand opening celebration Friday, July 17 and 18 respectively. Once touted as American waffle and root beer float haven, A&W is aggressively ramping up again, planning to more than double in size, increasing its locations to 45, from 33 by 2010. ?Our long term expansion plan has also earmarked our entry into 3 other areas namely Northeastern, Southern and Northern regions of Thailand,? confirmed Datuk Mohd Nazar Samad. And, ?our aim is to make A&W a household name in Thailand.?

The new-concept, 290 sq meter eatery is substantially larger than the average A&W restaurants at 150 sq meter. But it will largely retain the same emphasis on family and a community gathering spot for great food.

?A&W Restaurants will cater to both the local community and traveling families and business travelers,? said Datuk Mohd Nazar Samad. He said the new outlets, which he compared to A&W?s typical eatery, will feature new concept eatery fare such as cozy seating and sea view seating. Pattaya was chosen as the initial location because it is the halfway point in the busy travel corridor between Bangkok and touristy target location, it sits at the middle of where the actions take place, and the town of Chonburi is a family oriented community. Families and business travelers are looking for restaurant with great quality food in a wholesome, fun environment, a place where they know exactly will meet their expectation.

We want customers to walk in and say WOW,? said Mr. Wiwat Lerdprapapong, Country Manager, A&W Thailand, who has added many upgrades to the restaurants and its existing menus. ?A&W Thailand has so far been only concentrating on having outlets in Bangkok with the exception of 1 C&G in Shell Chonburi. We are now looking to make the A&W brand known outside of Bangkok and we have stated this with the opening of the 2 new-concept outlets in Pattaya and Chonburi.? The restaurants outlets are located exclusively at Central Festival Pattaya Beach, and Central Plaza Chonburi.
