“Boy Game” Hydrocephalic Child Returns Home After Surgery

Nattakorn Sae Chua or "Boy Game" age 1 year 4 months, the son of Mr. Pradit Ortan age 43, construction worker and Ms. Panida Sae Chua age 40. "Boy Game" is the younger twin brother of boy Nattakit Sae Chua or "Boy Got" who also has been diagnosed with hydrocephalia. The family lives in Soi Sattahip, Sukhumvit 45 (Yarngngarm) Moo 5 Tambon Sattahip, Chonburi province. After a journalist reported about "Boy Game's" situation many organizations and private persons wanted to help the sick child.

Recently he was admitted to Chonburi hospital and neurosurgery was scheduled. But since the hospital was short of blood group O negative the operation was postponed. Pattaya Daily News ran an article, pleading for blood donation. This resulted in almost 200 people coming to donate blood and “Boy Game” could have his operation.

Sattahip, January 17, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; The Pattaya Saily News waited in front of the “Boy Game’s” house. The PDN reporter met Mr. Pradit who was driving the pickup truck to bring “Boy Game” back home. People had donated many boxes of powder milk and the relatives were waiting to welcome him home. Mr. Pradit Ortan, the father said that “Boy Game’s” health had improved since he was admitted to the hospital on January 5, 2012.


First the doctors took care of the press wound on his head. There after the neurosurgery to release water in his brain and divert it through a shunt into his stomach. 2-3 days after the surgery “Boy Game’s” health had improved. His reactions were better, his hands and feet were not as tense as before. His visual nerve reactions had improved and the size of his head had decreased. Chonburi hospital will coordinate with the public community health center in Sattahip and inspect his symptom and clean the wounds on his head every day.

Mr. Pradit and Ms. Panida would like thank all the organizations and the kind people who had assisted “Boy Game” and especially every reporter who wrote about him so he could finally have the surgery which much needed.
