PATTAYA – June 7, 2014, [Pattaya Daily News]: At 10 am on 6 June, Police Col. Lt. Pakpum Srilapamat was notified by the local citizen there was a suspected box found at the base of a tree so he rushed to inspect the scene with Pol. Col. Sutheesak Wantee and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team (EOD)

At the scene the officers found a suspicious box which contained bullets and many suspicious objects that look like bombs, therefore the Explosive Ordance Disposal Officers covered it and kept people off the area. Then the EOD officers inspect them and found 25 of M60 bullets, 2 M26 bombs and other kinds of bombs. All of them are still usable.

The Pol. Col. Sutheesak assumed that the owner might have hidden them there before 10 June because he was afraid of being caught with them due to the laws The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) had announced. However the police said that he would like anybody who has any type of weapons to hand them and they won’t be prosecuted, but if they are caught with them especially at night they will be prosecuted according to Thai law.
