PATTAYA – January 26,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 19.30 pm Pol.Lt.Boonlai Ineium-inspector of Huay Yai police station- was notified that a body had been found without cause in a ditch in coconut field. After notification the police officers were accompanied with Sawang Borriboon rescue team to rushed to the scene.

At the scene they found a body of Thai man who was identified lately as Mr.Daorueng Punklang aged 43 laying in the ditch which was 15 centimeters in depth and 1 meter in width. The body was decomposing and rotting giving off a pungent smell. The body was in a blue shirt, black trouser and a bag with no trace of foul play. It’s expected that the man had died a week ago. Officers found a lot of fishing equipment in a bag which the officers collected as evidence.

Upon questioning Mr.Chart Ruengjoi aged 57 who found the body he revealed that he went to the ditch located on the land of Mrs.Lumyai Wonmueng aged 56 in order to release the water to his land. Later he noticed a really strong bad smell so he searched the source of the smell where he found the body in the ditch.

Later Mrs.Pairin Kettim aged 58 went to the scene and said that she expected that the body was Mr.Daorueng who stayed in her house for several years because she remembered the dragon tattoo in his right arm. He suffered from epilepsy and he had no job, he just searched for food to cook each day. Some days, he helped the monk to receive the food in the morning.

A week ago, MR.Daorueng told her that he would go to fishing before he disappeared. Therefore, she decided to notify the police before the body just appeared.

The police officers expected that the man had died because of epilepsy as he fell down and hit the wood log which was the bridge. However, the police officers sent the body to perform autopsy in order to find out the real cause of death.
