Big LHC Gathering In Pattaya

Thailand’s Lighthouse Club (LHC) is a very popular charity organization that has just held its first 2011 event the Holiday Inn at the northern end of Pattaya Beach Road. This Charitable organization is based around the construction industry, but everyone is welcome to join, and they are doing so in large numbers.

Pattaya, 11st February 2011: – The LHC is based in Bangkok, but their Pattaya meetings are forever increasing in size, which says a lot for the popularity of such events. These gatherings are held around once a month for the sole purpose of raising funds for charitable causes and the prime reason is to help with the education of children living on construction sites.

Two local businessmen, Cees of Town & Country Properties plus Dave of Thai Real Estate Magazine and a host of keen Pattaya supporters, put a lot of effort into organizing these fundraising events. The entrance fees are kept low and droves of LHC supporters turn up so that by the end of these evenings a sizeable amount of money is always raised.

This would not happen without one of the mainstays of LHC named Tracy, who is a human dynamo capable of even extracting donations from any “Kee Neaow Falang” (white person who is tight with their money). Tracy could even sell refrigerators to Eskimos, and is responsible for a very large part of the LHC fundraising

The recent meeting was held at the Holiday Inn’s “Havana Bar” and spilled out onto the front patio, because over 250 guests attended this great “value for money” food and drink evening. Over the last year, these LHC meetings have grown from under one hundred to mega meetings that fill venues to overflowing. Watch for details of the next one and be sure to attend; – you will be so glad that you did.
