13th February 2011 [Pattaya Daily News] at 04.00.Pol. Lt. Choti Lamom, together with Pol.Capt. Suradet Namyotha and a group of officials and volunteers were checking for illegalities at the entrance to South Pattaya Rd from Sukhumvit Rd in South Pattaya. The officials noticed a young man driving a bronze Toyota Vios, license No. ฎภ 8458 Bangkok. There was no license plate at the front of the car, only at the rear. In the car was a young man and his girlfriend behaving suspiciously, in a manner typical of people engaged in nefarious deeds.. The police assumed there to be drugs around and asked to check the car. The driver of the car was identified as Mr. Sithichai Porahomjan, a.k.a Jack, 25, residing at 64/7 Moo2 Sattahip Chonburi; and his girlfriend Suwannah Rotsiri, a.k.a Na , 26 , employed as a cashier in a restaurant in Sattahip. On examination of the car 3 bags of Ya-ba were found wrapped in plastic bags. Each bag held 30 pills, the 3 bags totalling 90 pills. Another 3 plastic bags were found, containing 0.7 grams of the drug known as “ice”,. They were hidden in a Satang bag. All of the above-mentioned items were impounded as evidence and the possessors arrested.

On questioning, they both confessed that after their working hours they would take the Toyotar to obtain Yabba and Ice from a group of drug agents near the 10km Sattahip marker in order to sell them to bartenders, teenagers and tourists in Walking Street, South Pattaya. They would purchase 100 pills at 160THB each time. They would split them up into 3 bags of 30 pills each, keeping the remaining 10 for personal consumption. They would then sell the pills at 200 – 250 each. They also purchased Ice at 3,000 Baht and sold it on making a further profit of 1,000 Baht. They both admitted they had been been dealing in drugs like this for a long time already this was the first time they had got caught.

The police charged them with the illegal possession and injection of drugs as holding charges pending further proceedings.
