Banglamung Sheriff to Inspect the Land of “Banrai SR”

Banglamung Sheriff led a team to inspect the land of “Banrai SR” after the villagers had complained that they had dug a canal without permit.

BANGLAMUNG-April 21, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; Mr.Sakchai Tangho-the sheriff of Banglamung-was accompanied with administrative officers and department of disaster prevention’s agents to inspect Rong Poh road after villagers had complained that someone has dug a public canal for a personal reason. They complained to the provincial governor. At the scene was 900 rais of plain land and they found backhoes, trucks and workers of “Jetsermsub” which Mr.Bunjet Thimtong-the mayor of Nong Plalai- was the owner and they were digging a public canal. They decided to stop their action and asked him about the complaint. They also ask him to show a title deed in this area.

Mr.Bunjet explicated that he was hired by “Banrai SR” who was the land owner to perform the work. At the beginning of April they had been hired to dig on 30 rais of the land in order to build a weir for local agriculturists. Some part of soil that had been dug was spread around the area and some had been sold. However he insisted that he is the mayor and he hadn’t done anything illegal.

Mr.Suthat Budnon- the head of the village of Nong Plalai- revealed that in the past this area was the canal for lotus which drained water to other nearby districts.

Mr.Somsak-the sheriff of Banglamung- had ordered Mr.Chasit Moonsrakhoo- municipal clerk of Nong Plalai- to investigate the rights of the land and the permit of the operator. In addition they also ordered the work to stop until they have proof of the permit and ownership.
