Banglamung Police Arrest Gang of Motorbike Thieves

Police of Banglamung police station made a statement about the arrest of a gang of thieves that stole motorbike and would send them to Cambodia to be sold.

PATTAYA – September 19, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2.00 p.m., in front of Banglamung police station, Chonburi province, Pol.Maj.Gen. Thanet Phinmueang-ngarm, Acting Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police Station, Pol.Col. Tharmmanoon Mankhong (Superintendent of Banglamung police station) and the detective police team together made a statement about arrest of Mr. Nopphadon Phonjanthuek, aged 23, and Mr. Archan Phondara, aged 18, both of them were Sa Kaeo residents. The police also seized exhibits of 1 brown Isuzu pick-up truck, license no. Bor Yor-8674 Rayong and 5 motorbikes consisted of 1 red-black Yamaha R15 motorbike, red license no. 13-3004, 1 green Honda Zoomer X, red license no. 1-7429, 1 black Honda Scoopy i, engine no. JF3638E-0100101, 1 black-red Kawazaki Z250, red license no. Ngor-2080 and 1 Honda Forza, license no. Chor Kor Sor-416, Chonburi.

 

After many motorbikes had been stolen in the Banglamung area the detective police team had found out that the thieves were gangs of Cambodians who would steal the bikes and sell them to Cambodians in the of Sa Kaeo border for 3,500-4,000 THB each. The police coordinated with the police of Khlong Hard police station, Sa Kaeo province, police of Sa Kaeo Provincial Police Station, immigration police of 4th specific operation, Burapha troop and rangers of 13th ranger division to arrest all the offenders. They then set up a road block and stopped the pick-up in area of Khlong Hard police station, Sa Kaeo province, with the stolen motorbikes.

Moreover, Banglamung police station had arrested the other gang of thieves which consisted of three 17-year-old male teenagers with exhibits of 1 navy blue Honda Wave 125, license no. Jor Khor Wor-865 Chonburi, 1 navy blue Honda Wave 125, license no. Khor Yor Phor-411 Sakon Nakhon and 1 white Honda Wave, license no. Khor Ngor Chor-776 Rayong. There were some victims that had gone to Banglamung police station to get their motorbikes back.

 

Upon questioning the teenagers they confessed that they had stolen the motorbikes so they could ride them at high speed. Then the officers detained all of teenage thieves in order to prosecute them further according to the Thai law.
