Banglamung Police Arrest Drug Gang

The police of Banglamung have arrest members of a drug gang who were caught in an undercover operating with methamphetamines, ketamine and ecstasy.

PATTAYA– June 15th  2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol.Col. Suwicharn Yankittikul (Deputy Commander of Chon Buri Provincial Police Station), Pol.Col. Chonnaphat Nawalak (Superintendent of Banglamung police station, Chon Buri Province), Pol.Lt.Col. Phatcharaphon Juengtrakul (Deputy Superintendent), Pol.Lt. Wiroj Inthachom (Deputy Inspector), Pol.Lt. Bamrung Phannorach (Deputy Inspector) and forces of the Special Operation police team together made a statement about the arrest of a drug gang  in the area of Amphur Banglamung.


They arrested 3 defendants identified as : 1. Mrs. Khanuengnit or May Johnstone, aged 37,  with 1.4 g of methamphetamines, 2. Mr. Songwuth or Kla Thiansit, aged 23, with 38 ecstasy pills and 2 bottles of ketamine. 3. Mr. Thaweesak or Bas Soodpanya, aged 28  with 180 bottles of ketamine. The police also seized a white Isuzu pick-up truck with a  red license no. Nor-3887 Bangkok for further inspection.


Pol.Col. Suwicharn Yankittikul revealed that previously the police had arrested Mrs. Khanuengnij or May who was a methamphetamine dealer in area of Amphur Banglamung. She told the police that she had bought the methamphetamines from Mr. Songwuth or Kla. Therefore, the police sent an undercover agent to contact Mr. Songwuth in order to buy some  methamphetamines. He was later arrested at the arranged drop off point at the beginning of south Pattaya road. The police then took him back to his room at the  Jinda mansion, Soi Kor Phai, south Pattaya, in order to search his room where they found some ecstasy and ketamine.


Mr. Songwuth confessed that he had bought all the drugs from Mr. Thaweesak or Bas Soodpanya who was a big drug dealer in Bangkok therefore the police sent in an undercover agent to buy some drugs from him and he was later arrested at the drop off point.  Upon questioning Mr. Thaweesak, he confessed that he had bought all his drugs from Mr. Tam, ketamine was 800 THB per bottle and he  resold sold it for  1,000 THB per bottle. He would fumigate the ketamine pills in an electric pot until they dissolved into water then he filled the empty bottles  of eyewash with the drugs to hide it from the police.
