Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital ‘Thank-You’ PartyA very entertaining “thank you party” was held for some of the senior staff and associates of the Bangkok Pattaya International Hospital, at the Hotel-J on North Pattaya Road. Leading officials included the Director, Dr. Pichit Kangwolkij MD, spoke of maintaining their program of expansion and their recent Sept. 2009 “Joyce Commission International” (JCI) accreditation; - (There are only nine of these superior private hospitals in Thailand and only 140-world-wide).
Pattaya, February 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: On the night of the celebrations, PDN interviewed Dr. Pichit Kangwolkij MD, who stated that he trained at the Mahaidol University Hospital, going on to study at Harvard School of Public Health, returning to work in the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital whilst still engaged in further training.
Bangkok Pattaya Hospital is a private General Hospital which along with many other businesses last year, saw a reduction in revenues due to worldwide recession.
This year will see many new services. For instance, Bangkok Hospital will be launching a new Fertility Clinic for those struggling to start a family and more medical departments specializing in cardiac and orthopedics. It is a little known fact that 70% of patients world wide visit the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital for cosmetic surgery.
The hospital will be holding a Charity Lunch to raise money for cataract surgery for the under privileged and poor people of Thailand, who need sight saving operations. They will not have the worry of trying to find payments as the operations will be provided free.
Bangkok Hospital have 1,000 members on their staff, and this includes 100-qualified doctors and sees 200 in-patients and 1,200 out-patients daily. Many of them come from Russia and Iran but this is no problem, because Bangkok Hospital have in house translators.
