The police pursuit team, led by Pattaya Inspector, Pol.Maj. Wittaya Yeunyong, chased the fleeing dealer through the sois of South Pattaya, eventually trapping him in a wood, off Soi Bonkai 2, nearby where he had abandoned his unlicensed, orange,Yamaha Meo motorbike. Mr. Sakda Pansawas aka Beer, (21) from Makkang, U-dornthani, was searched, 133 Yah Bah tablets and a .22 mm pen gun were found on his person and he was arrested.

At the police station, he acknowledged that he was a persistent offender, having been arrested many times on drug charges and had been subsequently jailed. On his release, he confessed that he had returned to dealing after not being able to find alternative work. He told the police that he normally bought Yah Bah from a drug-godfather in Hauy Yai and sold them on to the teenagers in all the local nightclubs and also took Yah Bah himself.

After being informed by the police that he had been yet again re-arrested, Mr. Sakda turned to media personnel present and accused police of having taken his Bt15,000 proceeds from selling Yah Bah.

Questioning him further, the interrogator was told that volunteer police from the arrest-team had taken the money from Mr. Sakda’s pink shoulder bag. However, police dismissed his claim as the nonsensical ravings of a Yah Bah intoxicant; subsequently telling reporters that Mr. Sakda had withdrawn his claim. However, Mr. Sakda refuted the police statement, reiterating his accusation of volunteer police theft to the media, before being led away to further interrogation.
