Arabs Tricked A Japanese Tourist For Cash.

Arabic Gang befriended with a Japanese tourist , tricked him to show his Yen banknotes, to steal and then they escaped.

PATTAYA – May 13,2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 1.10 a.m., Mr.Keisuke Motoki, 49 years old Japanese man, came to notify with Pol. Lt. Col. Songkhram Pun-eam, the head of detective division, Muang Pattaya police station, Chonburi , that he had been tricked by 2 white Arabs and stole his 100,000 yen cash, or 29,000 baht if it was calculated in Thai baht term, and then escaped. The crime scene was D Beach restaurant, soi 6/1, Pattaya second road.

Mr. Keisuke Motoki told the police that, while he and his compatriots were having dinner in the restaurant, 2 Arab men sitting in a nearby table tried to befriend with them, and asked him what his nationality was, he and his friends told them they were Japanese, then the Arabs tricked them by asking to see the Yen banknotes, claiming never seen it before. He showed them various kinds of Japanese banknotes and described about the value of them, they took them in their hands and watched almost of them before they returned and thanked him. Not long, they got out of the restaurant, he counted the banknotes later , and found out that 100,000 Yen had gone missing. After that they informed the incident to the restaurant staffs to search for his cash, since they could not find , he came to the police station to notify.

After initial investigation then the police made note for evidence and will coordinate with the restaurant in order to ask to inspect the CCTVs those might have taped the thieves for following up to arrest and legally prosecute them.
