AMLO Confiscates Property from Tax Cheater

AMLO officers have confiscated property from a luxury house which is owned by a VAT tax cheater. It’s expected that all property confiscated is worth around 500 million baht.

BANGKOK – June 27, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- Pol.Col.Sihanart Prayoonrat- secretary of AMLO (Anti-Money Laundering Office)- led a team with a court order to inspect a luxury house in Soi Jangwattana road in order to confiscate about 4,300 million baht of property in act of cheating VAT tax. Previously AMLO officers had confiscated 132 million baht of property off Mr Weerayuth Saelok who is a steel exporter after he had cheated the VAT tax. They had inspected 4 houses at the same time which consisted of aLuxury house in Soi Jangwattana 10 road, a luxury condominium in Sathorn, a luxury house in Ratchapruek, Nonthaburi and The Hill Parkchong hotel.


Pol.Col.Sihanart revealed that they had been ordered from the transaction committee to confiscate the property of Mrs,Patcharee and Mrs.Nuchnapa Sirichot who are involved with Mr.Weerayuth and had not paid their VAT tax. They confiscated The Hill Condo, 100 million baht and 4 luxury cars which consist of a Ford Fiesta, Mercedes Benz, Porsche and Honda Freed.


It’s expected that the property confiscated is valued about 300-500 million baht. AMLO officers contacted Mrs,Patcharee and asked her for the safes passwords which she told them but there was also a key needed to open them which she refused to tell them the where it was. Therefore the officers moved the 2 huge safe box to AMLO office. Mrs,Patcharee is the lobbyist who is connected with a VAT cheating gang.
