On 15 November 2007, at 04.00, Pol.Lt.Col. Phadungsak Sue-gamnurd, Sattahip police investigator, was notified by Mrs. Cheng Jongjit (80), living at 111, Moo 1, Bangsaray, Sattahip, that Mr. Waplee Wainukan, (46) who had a gastric ulcer was found dead in the bathroom after leaving faeces and blood.
Police investigators along with Sawang Rojanatham rescue, Sattahip, rushed to the incident. Mrs. Cheng, the house owner, was waiting for officials in the house. There were faeces mixed with blood in front of the bathroom and they found the deceased body of Mr. Waplee, lying dead inside the bathroom. His trousers were slipped down around his angles and the bathroom was scattered with faeces. The rescue team took him to Sattahip hospital for examination.

Mrs. Cheng told officials that Mr. Waplee who was her tenant, was from Trad province. He was working as a carpenter in Sattahip district. Lately, he was working as a vegetable delivery man in Bangsaray market. He was an alcoholic, had dropsy (abdominal ascites – swelling caused in end stages of liver cirrhosis) and gastritis. The doctor had warned him to stop drinking but he would not listen. Last night around 2am, Mr. Waplee was drunk and fell in front of the bathroom, excreting faeces before rushing inside the bathroom and closing the door. Mrs. Cheng was concerned that he was in the bathroom too long then opened the door which was not locked and found Mr. Waplee laying dead on the floor.

Pol.Lt.Col. Phadungsak examined the body and found no traces of him being attacked. Presumably, Mr. Waplee died because he had dropsy and a chronic alcohol problem causing him to fall excreting faeces and blood. Police will contact his relatives to arrange a religious funeral ceremony for him.
