A Woman Tied Neck And Stabbed In Pattaya Apartment

The body of a Thai woman was discovered in her room, at the Marina Inn Plaza, after neighbors noticed a foul odor coming from the room. At this point, authorities believe that the woman was killed by a robber.

Pattaya, yesterday[3rd October], at 1.00 pm. Pol.Lt.Col. sumrerngrattananam, Pattaya police investigator was notified, that a woman was killed in a room of marina Inn Plaza, located at 273/13 Soi Yen-sabai, Moo. 10 Nongprue,Banglamung.

Pol.Col.Noppadol Wongnorm, Pattaya superintendent, accompanied with his police team ,Sawang borriboon Rescued team and Pol.Maj Chalermsak Tienthongsri from Banglamung hospital rushed to the crime scene to investigate.

The crime scene was located on the 2nd floor of the four storey apartment. In the room no. 208, police found a body of a woman lying in a pool of her blood, on the floor near the bed. Her name was Mrs. Wannigar Boondee,[27] from Nonggee, Burirum province. Her neck was tied by telephone wire. She had one stabbed on the back of her neck by a kitchen knife which was found under her body.

After search the crime scene, the police found no trace of fighting. According to witnesses who live in the same floor, Mrs. Wannigar was always wearing a gold chain necklace and a brace lace and had two mobile phones which police found all mentioned properties disappeared.

Mrs. Sootsakorn Rinchai, [42] the apartment keeper, told police that Mrs. Wannigar had lived in the apartment for about one year. She was a very nice person. She had a few foreign boyfriends; those were included one German and one Italian. She rarely brought them to her room but stayed with them in their hotels. A few months ago, she had her younger brother visited her and stayed for 4-5 months.

Mrs. Sootsakorn said that she had not seen Mrs. Wannigar for several days until she noticed a foul odor coming from the room. She, eventually, opened the door and found Mrs. Wannigar’s deceased body.

From their questioning of neighbors and security, police ascertained that normally Mrs. Wannigar did not have Thai boyfriend. Police will search for finger prints and more evidence around the room and hope to find the suspect very soon.
