A Thai-German Thief Arrested In Necklace Snatching

The theft occurred about 5 pm on August 17th, 2008 at Dolphin roundabout on North Pattaya. After being notified, Pol.Col.Nopadol Wongnom, Pattaya superintendent commanded deputy superintendent Pol.Lt.Col.Supachat Piem-manas, crime suppression department and Pol.Maj. Chalermsak Tienthongsri, investigation department to lead police team to investigate a foreigner who had his necklace snatched away.

Mr. Gary Zimmerman, (55), the victim, described the robber as the two suspects were riding on a blue and gray Honda Wave 125 S motorbike without license plate. They had snatched his 45 grams gold necklace while he was on a Baht Bus, going back to his resident.

Subsequently, police had managed to arrest one of the suspects, Mr. Best – Alias, (18), a Thai-German half-caste, who lives at house No. 403, Moo 9, Nongprue, Chonburi, with the evidence , the gold necklace and his motorbike.

Mr. Best confessed that he, and Mr. Joe – Alias, (19), who managed to escape, had snatched Mr. Gary Zimmerman’s necklace. Mr. Best used to be arrested for consuming drugs and robbery, and had just come out of rehabilitation camp for about one month. Police recorded the investigation and would follow up to arrest Mr. Joe, and bring him to the justice.
