A 12 Years Old Hero Uses His Body To Protect His Sister From Pickup Truck

A 12 years old boy used his body to protect his 7 years old sister after they were hit by a pickup whilst crossing the road. The boy suffered a broken leg but his sister escaped unharmed due to his brave actions.

CHONBURI – January 9,2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 16.30, Pol.Maj.Col.Nithis Tongdee, detective of Muangchonburi police station was informed about a car accident were a car had hit some children while they were crossing the road at the top of soi 4, Setthakit road, moo 5, Bansuan, so he rushed to the scene.

At the crime scene they found Sumet Kulprasan, a 12 years old boy, a grade 6 student of Thammawatee school lying on the ground with a broken right leg, he also had blood coming out from his nose and ear. A bystander had carried him to sit on the road island. Also at the scene was Thanaporn Kulprasarn, 7 years old girl his sister, a grade 1 student, from the same school crying beside him. Parked on the side of the road was a red Isuzu pick-up truck, Bor Ror 4557, Chonburi, the front of the truck had sustained some damage from the impact and the driver a, Mr.Kana Taptimnoi was standing beside it.

From questioning a passer-by, they said the kids got out of a minibus and were waiting to cross the road to go home at the top of soi 4. When they decided to cross the road a pick-up truck suddenly appeared but couldn’t stop in time and before it smashed into girl her brother covered the girl with himself protecting her from the impacted. The police detained the drive and took him to the police station and accused him for driving carelessly causing injury to other people injured.
