500 Million Baht Expected From Pattaya International Music Festival 2009

Even before the actual event takes place, indications are that this year‘s Pattaya International Music Festival will be a major success if the feedback from local hotels is anything to go by.

On 13th March 2009, The Pattaya Deputy Mayor, Weerawat Kah-Kai, said that hotels along Pattaya Beach were now already at 80% occupancy for the three days of the event. The city management and officials were also fully prepared.

The Pattaya International Music festival has become popular among music lovers around the world. The city has been packed every year except for last year when the event was cancelled due to the death of the Princess.

People are excited in anticipation and are looking forward to enjoying themselves in Pattaya the coming weekend, he said.

There will now be FOUR stages, one more than orignally announced – the Green Stage at Soi 4, the Blue Stage in front of Central Festival, Pattaya beach, the Orange Stage at Bali Hai Pier and the Pink stage the in front of Royal Garden Plaza. The whole area, from the Dusit Resort Hotel to Walking Street, will be full of booths, selling the usual range of products.

The city management team expects more than 600,000 visitors spending more than 500 million baht.

The Pattaya International Music festival 2009 is a recognised event throughout Asia. There will be media coverage from all around the world so the city management have provided the necessary security and services.
