50% Discount At All Pattaya Hotels

In the spirit of celebrating Songkran festival or Thai’s New Year (April 13-15), City Mayor of Pattaya, Itthiphol Kunplome, has offered 50% discounts on food, accommodation and other services at all hotels in Pattaya.

Pattaya, 1 April 2011 [Pattaya Daily News]: City Mayor of Pattaya, Itthiphol Kunplome, has contacted all the hotels in Pattaya and negotiated a special Songkran treatment for the people of Pattaya.

Mr. Itthiphol believed that Songkran celebration is an important Thai tradition in which Thai people visit and pay respect to their elders, including family, friends and neighbours.  Furthermore, Songkran is the time of generosity where Thai people are encouraged visit temples, pray for their well-being and give food to monks.  It is believed that by doing good, this will bring good luck and prosperity for the New Year.

This year, Mr. Itthiphol would like to give luck and prosperity to the people of Pattaya as well.  Hence, after negotiation and discussion with managers and executive teams at all local hotels in Pattaya, the mayor is pleased to announce that Pattaya people will benefit from discount services from all hotels.  All services will be 50% cheaper than its normal price, varying from food, accommodation, massages and other available services based on individual hotel.

Mr. Itthiphol hopes that this offer will show the tourists how generous and welcoming the people of Thailand are, in particular Pattaya people.   Hence he hopes that this will increase tourist attraction and industry to Pattaya.
