4 Foreign Victims Robbed in Pattaya During One Night

Four foreigners had reported thefts during one night in Pattaya. Some had report thefts by lady boys and the others were hotel staff and mini bus passengers.

PATTAYA – June 19, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];-at 00.01 am. Pol.Lt.Jakkrit Juntakhum-investigation inspector of Pattaya police station- had been notified 4 robberies had occoured during the night. An Iranian had his gold necklace snatched by a lady boy on beach road, an Indian had his wallet stolen on the beach in front of Tropicana hotel, a Briton had some belongings stolen on a mini bus and also a Briton had 200,000 baht stolen from in his room.

 

Upon inspecting these victims MR.Jayesh Kumar Ambarambhai aged 48 from India revealed that he was walking on the beach in front of Tropicana hotel where he met 2 lady boys who asked him for cigarette before snatching his wallet which contained 900 dollars and fled the scene.

 

MR.Meisam Shirazi 34 year old Iranian revealed that he was on the way back to his room where he met a group of 4-5 lady boys who got really close to him and started fondling his body. They then walked off and he noticed that his necklace had been stolen which was valued at 200,000 baht.

MR.Ian Kenneth Pickford 55 year old from England and his wife revealed that they were on the minibus when a Thai girl got on and sat between them. When they got back to their room he noticed that his wallet containing 24,000 baht, 100 pounds and some documents was missing.

 

Mr Vin Jiles Martin aged 70 from England notified the police that he had been robbed of 2,900 pounds from his hotel room at Hotel Shing. He expected that Ms Thidarat Jaiherm 31 year old employee of the hotel had taken it because she had only been working there for 2 days before she left.

 

Initially the police had recorded the incidents and ordered the officers to hunt for the thieves. In addition the reporters had revealed that Pattaya police station are continuously clamping down on lady boy gangs on the beach and they had arrested many lady boys numerous times but they keep re-offending like they aren’t afraid of the law.
