2 Men Arrested For Snatching Necklace In Pattaya

Police officers have arrested 2 men who kicked a woman from her motorcycle and then snatching her gold necklace. The snatchers confessed that they needed money to spend on drugs.

PATTAYA – July 30, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 18.00 pm Pol.Col.Suppatee Boonkrong-deputy commander of Chonburi- and police officers made a statement about the arrest of Mr.Suthin Srisuk aged 20 who was the head of a snatching gang and Mr.Patcharapong (Tom) Oumaerb aged 20 who was a gang member.

On the incident day (July 29) while Ms.Manita was riding her motorcycle to Suksabai villa, South Pattaya, 6 men were riding 3 motorcycles alongside her and one of them kicked her motorcycle which made her crash. The gang then took her gold necklace valued about 20,000 baht before quickly fleeing the scene.

Fortunately Ms.Manita remember one of the men known as Mr.Suthin because he lived near her home. The police officers then raided his house but he was out so the police confiscated Mr.Suthin’s motorcycle. Later the police found out that Mr.Suthin and Mr.Patcharapong were hiding in a room in Soi Chalermprakiet road, Central Pattaya so the police rushed to the scene and caught them red handed.

Upon questioning Mr.Suthin he confessed that he had snatched bags many times and he had always snatched them from foreigners. However he ordered his gang members to kick Ms.manita off her motorbike and steal her necklace while he and Mr.Patcharapong just protected them. Also he had been in jail 6 times for drugs. After questioning the police officers had prosecuted him in act of robbery and they were hunting the rest of the gang.
