2 Cambodian Bag Snatchers Arrested in Pattaya

2 Cambodian teenagers who tried to snatch a hand bag off 2 Russian tourists where quickly arrested by Civil Defence Volunteers who were passing when they snatched the bag.

PATTAYA – July 20, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 1.20 a.m., Pol.Col. Supphathee Boonkhrong (Acting Superintendent of Pattaya city police station) and the police team together made a statement about the arrest of a bag snatching gang. The officers had arrested 2 defendants which were identified as Mr. A (alias), aged 17 and Mr. Wit, aged 19, both Cambodian nationality, also they seized 1 motorbike which was used for the snatchings and 1 mobile phone.

 

Before the incident occurred Miss Nadezda was walking with her boyfriend at the beginning of Soi 6, Pattaya beach road when Mr. A (alias) and Mr. Wit rode up next to them and Mr. Wit (a passenger) got off ran over to them and tried to snatch her hand bag but at the time the Civil Defence Volunteer officers were passing so they chased after the 2 trouble makers and caught them. They were then taken to Pattaya police station to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
