10 Fishing Boats Sink

The Tropical Vamco that hit Thailand has caused chaos in Bang Sarey causing 10 small fishing boats to sink.

SATTAHIP – September 16th 2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 10.00 a.m. journalists went to inspect Bang Sarey beach, Tambon Bang Sarey, Amphur Sattahip, Chon Buri province, after tropical storm “Vamco” hit the area causing 10 small fishing boats to sink.

At the scene some of the boat owners had used a crane to salvage their sunken boats, but some of the lucky owners had run their boats ashore to prevent them from sinking. Luckily no one had been injured or killed.

One owner of a sunken boat said that his boat sunk at 2.00 a.m. during heavy rain and strong winds. He told reporters that he couldn’t do anything to prevent it from sinking because the sea conditions were far too dangerous at that time and he helplessly watched his boat sink.
