Sunday 24th September 2009 [Pattaya Daily News]: – On the Saturday evening in question, guests rapidly filled the cocktail reception area of the Mantra International Restaurant to take part in a preliminary sapling of “Wolf Blass” wines as what is arguably one of Australia’s best wines, and they were not disappointed.

Wolf Blass is actually the name of the German founder of the company, who was contracted to work in Australia as a master wine maker by the “Kaiser Stuhl” winery almost fifty years ago. However his expertise was not just in sparkling wines, so in 1966 he founded his own company in Australia, with the philosophy of blending many small high quality vintages of wine to perfection, so that the taste, color and ‘nose’ never varies.

As well as Khun Ekachai Mahaguna, who is the General Manager for the Thai distributors, Canpac Beverages Ltd, one of the leading “Wolf Blass” wine makers from Australia was also present.

The “Wolf Blass” Winery employs six senior wine experts, and while they can produce all varieties of wine, each is allotted several different types of wine for the current production. Their wine maker emphasized the care required to produce consistently high quality wines, and stressed to the listeners that “Wolf Blass” wine making is a team effort. As well as local expats, the large crowd of diners was made up of truly international visitors, from countries all around the world, who enjoyed the experience of tasting some of the world’s finest wines.
