​Hand Grenade Injures Three Teenagers

Two groups of Rayong teenagers had a quarrel and ended up fighting at a Red Cross Fair where one of the teenagers threw a handmade grenade at his rivals causing three of them injuries to their face, ears and hands.

RAYONG – January 4, 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol.Capt. Suchart Wongphithak (police on duty of Mueang Rayong police station) revealed that at the late night of January 3, 2015, he was notified that there was an incident of quarreling and that a handmade grenade had been thrown in a red cross fair at the central stadium of Rayong province. so he rushed to inspect the scene together with Pol.Lt.Col. Nakrit Jairakrian (Inspector of Mueang Rayong police station) and some forces of police.


The police team went to inspect the incident point which was a zone of an amusement park which initially they found three male teenagers severely injured so the officers sent them to to Rayong hospital urgently.

Upon investigating, the police perceived that before the incident occurred there were two groups of male teenagers which were a group of Mr. Dodo (alias), aged 18, and a group of Mr. Koong (alias), aged 16, that went to travel to the red cross fair but both of the two groups had drunk liquor and were heavily drunk when they quarreled and scuffled with each other and suddenly Mr. Dodo threw a handmade grenade to Mr. Koong’s face which caused Mr. Koong’s eardrum to rupture as well as severely wounding his ear auricle. For Mr. Dodo, he severely injured has hand. One injured teenager suffered injuries to his head. The police will investigate them in detail further in order to charge all trouble makers with allegation according to their offense and prosecute them according to the Thai law.
